All modules are developed to equip students to delve into the fundamentals of Theological study. The following modules are offered as either “prescribed” (P) which are required, or “Electives” (E) which can be chosen based on interest, in order to obtain the required 165 credits to pass this year.

P – Origins of the Bible

This course is designed to enhance ministry by focusing on the development of the Christian faith through historical study of the Bible’s classic sources.

An in-depth timeline study is required as a research assignment.

P – Biblical Archaeology – UNISA

This course is designed to enhance bible study by contextualising the bible in geographical, historical and cultural backgrounds.

Biblical Archaeology Studies place the scriptures in context for proper understanding and application of the Bible.

P – Introduction to Biblical Greek

This course broadens skills necessary for introductory work in Greek exegesis in the New Testament Studies. It provides an introduction to the language for further development of Greek reading ability.

P – Introduction to Biblical Hebrew

This course broadens skills necessary for introductory work in Hebrew exegesis in the Old Testament studies. It provides an introduction to Semitic languages for further development of Hebrew reading ability.

P – Judeo-Christian Studies 1

This course is designed to enhance theological understanding by focusing on the foundational studies of Judaism as related to Christianity, Israeli history etc.

The student will be able to communicate confidently about Scripture in continuity with historic orthodoxy.

Judea-Christian studies Material is credited to AMI, Jerusalem Centre for Biblical studies & Research.

P – New Testament Theology 1

This course is designed to prepare students theologically by concentrating on developing expositional skills (understanding and application) by studying specific Biblical books. In-depth lexical and critical literary analysis of the four Gospels and the book of Acts will be undertaken.

P – Old Testament Theology 1

This course is designed to enhance ministry by concentrating on developing expositional skills (understanding and application). It studies the themes, genres and structure of the Old Testament, the interpretation of the original Hebrew writings as well as the Old Testament’s relationship to the New Testament.

E – God’s Generals

This course is designed to enhance Bible study and life application by studying the background and life of prominent people of the Christian faith and assessment of current applicability into ministry.

E – Psalmody

This course is designed to understand the act of individual worship through indepth scripture study, as well as to prepare students and worship leaders to practice and cultivate theologically sound worship experiences in the local church.

E – Dispensations and Covenants

This course is designed to enhance ministry through specific focused Bible study of the various dispensations and covenants and their application in today’s Christian worldview.

E – History of the Church

Th is course is designed to enhance apologetic understanding by focusing on the development of the Christian faith through historical study from the Apostolic age all the way through to the 20th century church.

E – Biblical insights into Israel-Tour

This course is designed only for Students that can go on the Israel Tour. They will attend a 3 Day Seminar. However, it is not compulsory to do the Tour.
